It's all in the es_systems.cfg file. Just add .zip to the extensions tag for that system. http://emulationstation.org/gettingstarted.html

worked. i was already doing that but making a rookie mistake...now fixed thanks

emulationstation displays the romnames "as is" ....any way to use database to display names differently or do i need to change names of roms...
