    It was a simple case of me not having my Hyperspin Startup Script correctly set up. So it wasn't launching LEDBlinky when Hyperspin started, and only when MAME started.

    For anyone interested, I just needed to add a "1" after the program run target:

    [Startup]
    Minimize_Background_Windows_Enabled=true
    Window_Classes_To_Not_Minimize=Shell_TrayWnd,Butto n
    Process_Name_To_Close_1=
    Program_To_Run_Target_1=LEDBlinky.exe 1
    Program_To_Run_Working_Dir_1=K:\LEDBlinky\
    Program_To_Run_MaxMinHide_1=Min Good day.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    TLDR - LEDBlinky will only start and light up my controls once MAME has loaded, but not when the FE (Hyperspin) first loads (i'm using RocketLauncher)

    Programs used: HyperSpin, HyperHQ, RocketLauncher, RocketLauncherUI, MAME, LEDBlinky

    - I followed along to a guide on how to install HS, MAME, and RL
    - I then followed along to the great Youtuber Maverick’s Arcade in setting up LEDBlinky.
    - I’ve set up a basic 1 frame animation for the default colours I want whilst not in game (FE Active etc..), and added an FE Start-up and FE Quit animation.
    - All buttons are wired up correctly and each program seems to be talking to each other. I can launch a game in MAME, and the colours change based on the colour.ini etc…great
    - However, LEDBlinky doesn’t run the FE Start-up when I launch HS. It only runs that once I launch a game through MAME. Game runs, it flashes white for second, then runs the FE Start-up animation, then switches to the specific game colours. When I exit the game back to the menu, FE Active kicks in. But when I close HS, The FE Quit animation doesn’t run and after HS is closed, the FE Active stays lit.
    - So, it seems like everything is working, just not in the right order. Or, something isn’t configured correctly.
    - If I start LEDBlinky, then launch HS, same thing.
    - If run a HS Start-up Script to run LEDBlinky on HS launch, same thing.
    - But, I’ve checked the Debug.log and HS Log.txt and LEDBlinky does launch at the same time as HS does when the Start-up Script runs.

    Some further info that might help:

    - I have LEDBlinky Disabled in HyperHQ (I was advised that it would conflict with RL-LEDBlinky communication)
    - I have LEDBlinky Enabled in RocketLauncherUI and set to “Enabled - All”
    - In LEDBlinky I have the FE set to “Other Front-End”

    My guess is, it’s something simple, and I’m just missing it.

    Any help you might be able to give me would be most appreciated.

    Ben.

    I don't use LEDBlinky but this doesn't seem to be related to RL. From what you described everything on the RL side of things is working correctly.

    RL can't handle LEDBlinky until it is called, which doesn't happen on FE start or exit. It will load the proper config when you launch a game and upon game exit. Anything before or after that needs to be handled by the frontend.

    Yeah. You need to load ledblinky with a script when the front end starts up and set ledblinky to your front end profile.

    Thanks for the response. I'm putting the feelers out to anywhere I can, but haven't had much luck.

    I have created a Hyperspin (FE) Startup Script that (should) launches LEDBlinky when it runs, but this doesn't seem to be working. And LEDBlinky will only start once RL loads a game.

    I'll keep plugging away at this. Thanks for replying.

    You need to launch this in your script, changing the path to wherever you have ledblinky...

    D:\Tools\LEDBlinky\ledblinky.exe 1

    The first argument set to 1, sets ledblinky to the front end profile. This needs setting in the ledblinky config app.

    Thank you. I'll need to test this later. I have a hyperspin start up script written, but i don't think i added the "1" to the end of the file path.

    Thanks for the advice.

    Thank you so much. It was a simple case of me not having a "1" after the "Program_To_Run_Target_1=LEDBlinky.exe" in my Hyperspin Startup Script. Now LEDBlinky starts with Hyperspin and not just MAME.

    [Startup]
    Minimize_Background_Windows_Enabled=true
    Window_Classes_To_Not_Minimize=Shell_TrayWnd,Butto n
    Process_Name_To_Close_1=
    Program_To_Run_Target_1=LEDBlinky.exe 1
    Program_To_Run_Working_Dir_1=K:\LEDBlinky\
    Program_To_Run_MaxMinHide_1=Min
