    What exactly are you trying to launch?

    I understand that, I meant what specific application. RL has support for various 3rd party applications so depending on what you want to launch the method might be different.

    mame hooker is designed to be running at all times, its suggested to simply add a shortcut to your "windows startup" folder. If the path to your mame.exe is set within mame hooker, you should be good.

    Hahaha, no worries. No I can not help any further, I am a use stuff as its intended type of guy... unless you can give me good reason (any reason lol) why you need this behavior. Hooker doesn't use much resources and it will just sit in the tray waiting for you to launch mame. Are you running this on raspberry pi or something where you are worried about every last bit of resources? Are you using multiple old versions of mame or something???

    I don't mean to be disrespectful either. Really, I'm just trying to figure out why you want this! Since Hooker is relatively new to the scene, maybe it will help other people who are looking at this as well so any more information you can give would be great.

    Well , im using this with hyperspin and RL, some games require the use of mamehooker and some dont, and the ones that dont use it, will interfere with the mame outputs if mamehooker still running, so thats why im trying to launch mamehooker as per game instead of always running in the background. So i know i can put a start and close on ahk for mame but i would like to achieve this per game instead. If posible of course. Thanks for any help.

    Hmmm, maybe Agent47 has an idea for per game???

    I guess I need to check out this Hooker more, I am clearly missing something about its usage. I was under the impression it just monitored for outputs and could pass them to the appropriate device... and if the game has no outputs it would have nothing to pass???

    User functions can achieve what you want.

    Thank you sir, simple as that. Now im using code to open mamehook at start but for some reason it opens it up 4 times, like i get an error from mamehook because of trying to open it up 4 times at the same time, what iam i doing wrong?
    Code:
    MCRC := "B43D310C"
    MVersion := "1.0.0"

    ; Code in this file will always be run regardless of the system or game being launched

    class UserFunction
    {

    	; Use this function to define any code you want to run on initialization
    	InitUserFeatures() {
    	Run C:\HyperSlot\mamehook.exe
    	}

    	; Use this function to define any code you want to run in every module on start
    	StartUserFeatures() {
    	}

    	; Use this function to define any code you may need to stop or clean up in every module on exit
    	StopUserFeatures() {
    	}

    	; Use this function to define any code you want to run before Pause starts
    	StartPauseUserFeatures() {
    	}

    	; Use this function to define any code you may need to stop or clean up after Pause ends
    	StopPauseUserFeatures() {
    	}

    	; These functions can be used to run custom code at certain points in each module

    	; This function gets ran right before the primaryExe
    	PreLaunch() {
    	}

    	; This function gets ran right after the primaryExe
    	PostLaunch() {
    	}

    	; This function gets ran right after FadeInExit(), after the emulator is loaded
    	PostLoad() {
    	}

    	; This function gets ran after the module thread ends and before RL exits
    	PostExit() {
    	}

    	; This method gets ran right before Bezel is draw on the screen
    	PreBezelDraw() {
    	}

    }
