When I launch a game through Launchbox -> Rocketlauncher, it takes a good long while before fade kicks in. As far as I understand it, its because RocketLauncher has to go through all the media paths from Launchbox.
This, if correct, is where I get confused. Why? What media is RocketLauncher interested in and for what? For Pause? Launchbox simply sends "here is the system, here is the game. Launch it". What else does RocketLauncher do and is there any way to speed it up on my end?
As it is today, since I manage RocketLauncher/HyperSpin/Launchbox from a network drive and sync it down to my cabinets, its already quite slow when running it over the network, which I understand and accept for this setup.
Hyperspin takes about 3-4 seconds to actually launch RocketLauncher but Launchbox takes more then a minute.
Start game from Launchbox.
1 sec: Start menu vanishes (set to hide in RocketLauncher)
~60 sec: Fade kicks in, loading the game. The rest is quick.
My XML file for Launchbox has grown to 50Mb. Is this a reason?
