Language flags

I've found a folder containing flags in Media\Menu Images\Rom Mapping Launch Menu, I suppose it's there for showing language flags in pause menu. Somebody knows how to use them? I would like to be able to see the available languages for each game.

Those images are not for pause. They're for the rom mapping menu as the directory name states.

I don't see why you would want or need these in the pause menu. They're used in the rom mapping menu to indicate the region of multiple roms.

I don’t really need these flag icons in the pause menu, but if they were displayed somewhere on the fade screen, it would be great.

Region info isn't supported on fades AFAIK. You could potentially use it on a rom specific basis using layer 2 or 3 but that would require placing the image in a subfolder for each rom that doesn't match the image you would set as default.
