I would like to say me not seeing that would be my fault however, I am adding them in to the ini manually and then testing. When you added them to the ini, you did not put them in alphabetical order. HA HA. So if you have multiple entries for the same game the one at the top takes precedence. DOH!.

Ok moving right along. Birthright - The Gorgon's Alliance (1996) requires NetBIOS. The dosbox wiki says you will need the NetBIOS.exe (of course of I have that). Is this supported somewhere in the module? Thanks!

Nevermind found the protocol selection duh. YOU SPENT ALOT OF TIME ON THIS! I must be as crazy as you for setting all these up. So you include the NetBIOS.exe in the module extensions folder. When it goes to mount the n:\ and run NetBIOS.exe it says in the dosbox window: illegal command dosbox.exe

is it starting IPX too with NetBIOS I think the wiki says you need both?

As a side note battle isle 2 doesnt run at all.. Will need to look at why so far it looks to mount bi2.unst for the cd and that doesnt exist. So some thing there may be wonky with this game in the collection. Fyi.

Yes it's a manual PIA alright, that's why I stopped where I did with the included stuff. Just after coding and recoding it a few times, then testing, I got burnt out. It's so difficult because it's not one "system" like dolphin. Every game has a different method, or different files. So I tried to code it to be very flexible with that in mind.

Well I will take a look. Thank you. I had it set on debug 2 so I thought I was good to go. In my defense I was wotking on hyperspin artwork before this mission. And my cab has been good to go for some time so I have not needed help with anything. Until you said stop with the ne2000 stuff and look what djvj did to make old school lan parties awesome!! Ha ha. This doesn't seem right, you have have it set to use the same batch file as is already set in the dosbox.conf file for multiplayer sessions:

If you can, manually figure out what that autoexec section needs to look like in order to get netbios in this game to work. This needs to be done manually so I know what the module needs to automate.

I removed the setup_executable you have set because it doesn't look like it's needed, it changed the conf to this which looks correct now. Notice it moved the @call out of the network block:

This will fix netbios and IPX not starting. I found a very odd bug in ahk that I cannot fix and for some reason all iniwrites are erroring. This was causing IPX to fail to start because the module wasn't turning it on in dosbox's ini. For now that condition is commented out. This was a nightmare to track as it shouldn't be happening.

Quotes are now wrapped around the netbios path and the exe removed from it as well. Those 2 things were preventing netbios from being mounted properly in DOS

Got my initial pass done for settings. 184 games thus far. Have a trial run setup for Tuesday so I am not running 2 comps at once to test things. Linking launch box up was a breeze. So should be pretty well set. Will see how many we test on tuesday before I post the ini settings for the dosbox.ini

I previewed it for a couple of people last night. Got all the boxes and the extraction fade screen and launched a couple games to show them what it is all about. Any one I show has just one question....can I have that?

Tested moving it to my nas and running from a different pc:

1. Want to see if I can auto install that font.
2. I think I will need to create some sdb things to give the exes on the nas invoker rights to get around uac prompts.
3. Rl was looking to extract to the temp profile that was on my other computer.
4. Emulator related I need to get dos box to not exit when hitting escape. Changed rl exit emu key and still exits and cant skip some game vids.

3. I never use Esc as my exit key because of this issue and esc does not exit games. This is the main reason you should never use Esc, especially when you setup computer systems. The other option is to use Esc but require it to be held down for a few seconds. Still a bit dangerous but not likely to be hit by accident.

Thanks for the info, I adjusted it to LSHIFT+ESC and works fine now(in the global settings in RLUI). I found a script for installing fonts and I plan on using the Microsoft application compatibility toolkit to make the SDB file to allow any of the .exe files in rocketlauncher to run as invoker to hopefully eliminate the UAC prompts. I changed the default extract path manually in the global settings.ini to user %userprofile%\appdata\local\temp\hs to get around it needing the exact folder path. Seems to work fine. I should hopefully get this down to a batch file that installs the font for RL and then installs the application fixes to add invoker rights to get rid of the uac prompts when run from a network folder.

Are all the Executables provided with RL 32bit or 64bit applications? The MS App compatibility kit needs to make fixes for each app type (add invoker rights). Thanks.
